Latest Progress on the Viking Painting
The Geirskögul painting is one of the bigger and more grand paintings I’ve attempted. It’s been a real challenge trying to get the right composition with this piece because I’m not used to doing large ‘scapes, and I’m definitely not practiced painting people!
I’m working slow on this one, but I’m making good progress. I feel better about it now than I did when I initially started painting it, and I’m hoping a few more sittings will see it complete. Unfortunately, it’s the holiday season, and I’ve had a lot of work coming in for my day job that has been keeping me away from my easel (in a perfect world I could just paint 10 hours a day!).
I can’t wait to share the finished piece, but in the meantime, here’s the current progress.
